Emily and Hunter decided they wanted to have an Oak Mountain State Park engagement session to precede their destination wedding in North Carolina this summer. After what seems like weeks of dreary, cold days, we were greeted by sunny skies and perfect hiking weather for our visit to Peavine Falls. It was a perfect break to celebrate their engagement and to make some memories.
Even during moments of more posed photography, like engagement sessions, I encourage my couples to interact with each other like normal--why should I pose you into stances that you’ve never assumed before? I want you to stand together, to hold hands, caress, kiss, and gaze like you do every day. Each couple hold each other uniquely, I aim to build an inspiring photo around your natural poses. Those are so much more engaging and emotional than any pose I could put you into.
